Boudoir Session Reason 4: See Your Body In a New Light (Literally)
Time to step away from the bad lighting in dressing rooms and bathrooms. Time to step away from the bad mirrors. And step away from the self doubt! Boudoir photography aims to show women their strength, beauty, and confidence in a way they may not have seen before, promoting self-love and body positivity. My favorite part of a boudoir photo shoot is when I show my clients some of their images during the shoot. They realize they are totally nailing their shoot, and they go from nervous to super confident and bad-ass immediately. It’s literally the best feeling in the world to be able to help another woman feel empowered and confident.
Boudoir Session Reason 5: Make A Beautiful and Unforgettable Gift
Ah another favorite part of mine – the gift! It’s an amazing gift to yourself, and the photos can also be a unique and unforgettable gift for a partner, especially for special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, or birthdays. If you are giving this to a parter it is always such a surprise to them. They never see it coming, and they are so shocked that you did the shoot AND make this super hot and amazing gift for them. But please know that this is totally a gift to yourself also.
Boudoir Session Reason 6: Behind The Scenes Fun
You might think boudoir photography is super prescriptive and serious, but it’s actually really light and fun! I cannot explain in words how much we laugh and have fun during these sessions. The photos may be sultry and serious at times, but in between takes we are laughing, joking, and just talking about life in general. It’s much needed girl chat time!
